Mitch Franklin started in the roofing industry in 1975,working for his father’s company. He honed his skills for 5 years doing residential roofing until he went to work for Maddox Roofing. Within 2 years he worked his way up the chain to become their superintendent at 22 years old. He spent the next 2 years at Maddox Roofing until he was offered a superintendent/estimator position for the roofing division at Western Builders. He spent 3 years at Western Builders, getting more experience in estimating, sales and the knowledge of commercial roofing. After Western Builders, he decided to go back to his father’s company hoping to one day become his partner, but his father’s health issues caused the company to close the doors within 3 years. In 1992 Mitch and Jenny started Franklin Roofing Enterprises, Incorporated. Mitch has spent the last 30 plus years growing the company by personally training foreman, superintendents, estimators, and project managers. The company started with Mitch estimating and working on the jobs, to having multiple employees that worked for him on the job, move up into sales, training, and leadership positions. Mitch is very proud of where the company started in 1992, to the team that has been established today, moving into the future.
